Business Unit Default Key Setup

The business unit default key is a unique identifier for a business unit that has been set up in your netFORUM entity. You must create the business unit before you can obtain this key.

Important! This setup step should be performed before going live. It is critical to set this up properly. If this is not set up properly, your eWeb batch options will not populate correctly.

To add the business unit key to the BusinessUnitDefaultKey system option, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to the Accounting Overview page.
  2. Click the Accounting Setup page hyperlink. This opens the Accounting Setup page.
  1. Expand the business unit default key child form.
  2. Click the grandchild form icon located next to the BusinessUnitDefaultKey line item. This will display a list of business units that have been added to netFORUM.
  3. Locate the business unit you wish to set as the default business unit for your entity of netFORUM.
  4. Copy the value listed in the Key column into memory on your computer.
  5. Click the Edit icon located next to the BusinessUnitDefaultKey line item. This opens the Edit - System Option pop-up window.
  1. Paste the Key value you copied into memory earlier, into the current setting field.
  2. Click the Save button. The default business unit for your entity of netFORUM has now been set.
